Seeking Self Publishing Advice

Hello! I am currently working on my first children's book, "Beastie", which I intend to self publish. While the text is complete, I have only recently found the perfect illustrator who is bringing my story to life with her beautiful watercolour illustrations. While this is incredibly exciting, I am equally terrified! I am looking for any/ all advice that will help me get my book out there, printed, marketed, read and (hopefully) enjoyed by children everywhere. Thank you so much (in advance) to anyone who has ANY wisdom they would like to bestow on this nervous, terrified "indie" writer! :)

Good luck!
As you've written, exciting and terrifying!

I suggest that you join a group of writers who ask each other to beta-read their books/MSS and might be willing to recommend your book to others.

Also, get your own website and/or blog set up.

Just a few days ago, I surrendered to a friend/collaborator's advice, and set up a Twitter account. In fact, I set up 3: one as a human being (writer, but with other interests, @JimmyHiD1), one for my publishing hut, @granota_hut, and one for a current project of that publishing hut, @SiaslStranger.

It's early days, yet, but I'm hopeful.

If you'll "follow" me on Twitter, I'll follow you.
