The writing process

Writing a book requires creativity, practice and determination. In fiction, a good story relies on a well-structured plot, convincing characters and an alluring narrative voice. Narrative non-fiction projects need much of the same, while more subject-led books need to couple a distinctive style with an ability to inform and engage perhaps a more select readership. This section of the website brings together useful advice articles from published authors on different aspects of the writing process.
